An igniter and a control board are the two ends of the same appliance. Ignition, sensors and hardware sit at one end of the range; boards, gas valves and blower assemblies sit at the other.
Whether it is a current part
A part for a platform still in production arrives quickly. A superseded board or a discontinued blower means a supersession lookup and a wait, and the quote says so.
What it takes to get at it
A range that pulls forward on a tile floor is a different job from a slide-in trapped by a stone counter, or a hood liner four metres up a shared riser.

Range Hood Repair: two questions before you call
The lights are out but the fan still runs.
They are on separate circuits inside the hood, so this is usually the lamps, their holders, or the low-voltage supply feeding them — not the blower and not the control. It is one of the cheaper faults on this list, which is worth knowing before anyone quotes you a new hood.
It rattles from somewhere above the liner.
Typically the damper flap at the duct transition, chattering as air passes it, or a section of duct that has worked loose from its collar. Both are reachable in most installations. In a building with a shared riser it can also be a neighbouring unit, which is worth ruling out before opening anything.

Ranch kitchen with the duct running straight up through the attic. The fan was stuck on one speed and the rooftop cap barely opened. New speed control, he freed the flap, and it genuinely vents now.

Hood lights went out while the fan carried on running. A transformer inside the canopy had failed rather than the lamps. He fitted a new one, changed two lamps that had gone dim, and left no mess behind.
